2012 1099 Forms are now available.

Primary account holders with eStatements can immediately access your 1099 Forms in OnCommand. eStatement users will not receive an addtional printed form by mail. For primary account holders with paper statements, your 1099 forms were mailed on January 31, 2013.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Notice of expiration of the temporary full FDIC insurance coverage for noninterest-bearing transaction accounts

By operation of federal law, beginning January 1, 2013, funds deposited in a noninterest-bearing transaction account (including an Interest on Lawyer Trust Account) no longer will receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Beginning January 1, 2013, all of a depositor's accounts at an insured depository institution, including all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by the FDIC up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount ($250,000), for each deposit insurance ownership category.

Primary account holders with eStatements can immediately access your 1099 Forms in OnCommand. eStatement users will not receive an additional printed form by mail. For primary account holders with paper statements, your 1099 forms were mailed on January 25, 2012. First Command Bank, in general, does not report interest of less than $10 for a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), so there will be no 1099 form. You can find your 2011 year-to-date interest on your January 2012 statement.

Fraud Alert: New Debit Card Restrictions

Due to an increase in fraudulent activity in these areas, First Command Bank Debit MasterCards will no longer be able to be used in the following countries:

  • Armenia
  • Brazil
  • Cyprus
  • Honduras
  • Hong Kong
  • Kazakhstan
  • Malaysia
  • Mexico
  • Spain
  • Turkey

If you will be traveling to one of these countries, please contact Customer Care at 888.763.7600 to request the debit card restrictions be lifted during your time of travel.

If your current address of record with First Command Bank indicates that you reside in one of these countries, your debit card will not be restricted.

While we certainly want our customers to enjoy the convenience of our Debit MasterCard, we have determined these steps are necessary at this time to ensure we are doing all we can to protect against the dangers of fraud and identity theft. Select the Accounts tab and click View Statement. eStatement users will not receive an additional printed form by mail. For primary account holders with paper statements, your 1099 forms were mailed on January 29, 2010.

First Command Bank, in general, does not report interest of less than $10 for a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), so there will be no 1099 form. You can find your 2009 year-to-date interest on your January 2010 statement.

First Command Bank has seen an increase in the amount of debit card fraud originating from internet transactions processed out of Hong Kong and Spain. We are currently blocking all debit card internet transactions generating from Hong Kong and Spain. Please monitor your accounts for any fraudulent transactions and notify us immediately if you suspect fraud on your account. You can check your account transaction history at any time with OnCommand Online Banking or PhoneCommand automated telephone banking at 888.763.7601.
